One of the most interesting things about the digital nomad scene is how varied the people in it are. I’ve now interviewed couples traveling together and working remotely for companies back home, attorneys who moved their entire law practice online, and developers bootstrapping their own companies from anywhere.
This week, I want to showcase the stories of two people who have evangelized nomads and remote work. With one building a 400-person company around digital nomadism, and the other writing the celebrated guidebook that would inspire many to try the working nomad lifestyle. They’re Matt Mullenweg from WordPress and Tim Ferriss who wrote The 4-Hour Workweek.
WordPress is now the engine behind 22% of all websites. The company behind WordPress is Automattic, which now is the largest 100% remote company in the world. And The 4-Hour Workweek has introduced millions of people around the world to the concept of building location independent businesses.
This short video is just a teaser — you will hear more from these fascinating folks in the final documentary in a few months. Stay tuned! :)
I upload a short video clip from what I’ve filmed on my YouTube channel, and it will show you a glimpse of this documentary. I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think by tweeting me at @youjindo :D
